* So im here more than 24/h a day always in tourneys and i clearly see that more chat mods are required as lichess getting bigger each day, I know that there isn't a direct way for one to be become a chat mod so i thought to ask here lichess official if i can be one, I always see people spamming the chat everyday but nothing i can do other then reporting them, still i know the staff is really busy here so till a mod show up the arenas the damage will be already done. i dont want to be a full moderator coz i know i'm not good enough to detect cheaters but i can be a simple chat mod and help so much lichess to be a better place.
This is an example happening right now
@kazamaza Yes kaza I would 100% support you in becoming a chat moderator!
If spam is a large issue, perhaps I can look into an automated solution...
yeah i agree with you kazamaza
@SupremePatzer thank you Taha for your trust and support !
@Toadofsky im not an expert in this but imo an automated solution can restrict the freedom of active chatters like me and so many others here that enrich the chat with instructive, friendly, fun and welcoming topics, and if it does then it will decrease the uniqueness of lichess community that brings ppl together in a friendly, fun and safe environment which the chat plays a big role in this matter.
- Conclusion giving this role to an active, trusted and loyal contributor that knows almost everyone in here would be more reliable from an automated system that maybe can't tell a difference between an active chatter or a spammer but that just my humble opinion.
- Hope you guys can take into consideration my volunteering proposal.
Chat is worse than a hydra^2. As an admin I would close all public chat. Forum, ok, one can handle.
It all starts with people's vocal cords. They mkust first all be surgically removed.
And only THEN you can start looking at the finer detail like moderating websites.

Being humble is not one of your strengths, I see

I vote #3's solution to automate chat modding.
