Banned, but not banned.

I recently got a message saying 'Someone you reported got banned'.

However when I go on their profile, it is still active. How is this possible as it's the only person I have complained about in months (so it has to be them)?

Unless Lichess means that they have been 'chat banned', not 'banned'. This is the only explanation.

P.S. I don't want to discuss the persons name or what they did on the forums.

If you reported someone for being rude in the chats,or forums,or just being a troll,then of course you will not be able to see the ban on their profile.

Only red marks that are visible are for using computer assistance,or increasing/decreasing ratings.

Maybe, the reported person has successfully appealed?

@rickrenegade no , nothing will happen , just the player won't be able to chat anymore , in chats studies forums etc
