I have a Google Pixel 2 phone with lichess app. I open the app, select a quick game to play, finish the game, try to go back to the home with the back button. Instead of going back to the home screen, app goes into background. Same thing happens if I go to my profile and hit back. Is it possible to implement back button to eventually take a user back to app home screen and eventually to the phone's home screen instead of a direct route. I do know if there was a conversation regarding this but, it would be really nice to implement this feature. From my experience using Android, most apps take you to a previous page/screen that a user is looking at with back. If I want to go to phone's home screen, there obviously is a button for that and there is no button (unless one exposes the side menu by clicking the three bars!) to go back to app's home.

The app used to work the way you prefer it to work (back goes back). Sometime a few months ago it switched to back = exit.
