I have tried to donate using PayPal but it didn't work. Firstly, it requires that I have funds in my PayPal account (which I do) and secondly it only accepts USD (mine is not in USD).
I'd like to suggest using Braintree (also a PayPal company) to accept donations. They accept bitcoins, credit cards, PayPal, Venmo, Apple Pay, etc. They also have mobile SDKs. developers.braintreepayments.com/
