Im a German chess player, and just want to point out, that yes word for word Knight is Ritter but the German chess term for a knight is Springer and not Ritter. Ritter is an actual knight, with armour and sword, whilst springer is the term for he chess piece

Hey, whoa. All the chess literature says "springer" and this site ought to be consistent. What is the deal with "automatic translations"? That's lazy plus incorrect. Have a little respect for languages.
I wonder if it translates knight as 'caballero' in spanish...
