Why must I be nice to people who are badly behaved?

I get a warning from Lichess for not being "nice" to players, but yet they are the ones that start it in ALL cases. They are badly behaved and I'm seeing all kinds of rotten behavior from all kinds of humans.

Even a guy who somehow thinks it is ok to play only White and will abort his games with Black with you on purpose, and only play White with his preferred opening! He does this to ALL his opponents. And not only that, he badgers you afterwards with challenges.

So what if I said "eff you" to that guy?

And Lichess never does ANYTHING about all these kinds of people?
It's the one who are Caught being punished. Be careful next time if you return the bad deeds of your opponent.
No, in that guy's case, his account is running for a long time. I do not believe I am the only one complaining about him. A casual check on his game history shows him aborting all his Black games with his opponents.

And this is not the only one with bad behavior. What about those who are very arrogant and pompous tw*ts who message you afterwards with provocative talk?

Lot's more.
If they sent Abusive message, Screenshot and report to Lichess staff.
But how do you explain that guy who abort games all the time like that fella I mentioned? I cannot be the only one who is very annoyed with his behavior and yet, his account is running for a long time. Is Lichess policy about Turning the Other Cheek all the time (and yet allow bad behavior to flourish)?

As for abusive message, Lichess will not take action on people who call you "coward" for not rematching them, and then asking you to "follow them", right?

So what shall we do with such people, trust me, there are so many examples of bad behavior that Lichess should just stop the Chat Function, since the only things we are allowed to say is "Good Game" and "Thank You".

Liberal Leftism/SJW culture at its finest?

Now I know Lichess is free, but there is always a price to "free". Always.
@Ensigno Go to the profile page of the "bad person" you are referring to.
Block them.
Never be bothered with them again.

One exception might be tournaments but if you draw them in a tournament, simply turn the chat off and ignore them.
You appear to know how to communicate without swearing... Just be classier in your abusive remarks and you won't get any automated warnings. As you say, there is a cost to free. What would the cost be if people could cuss freely without warning?
Let me give an analogy, it's like allowing a robber to enter your home and rob you, but you cannot do anything to that robber, except to report him to the cops. And "let the cops do their job", because if you did anything to that robber (after all, the robber has rights too), then you are guilty as well.

See what I mean? And I gather Lichess NEVER does anything for anything here, except for cases of cheating with engines.

Then why put the useless warning of "Timing out" or "You should not abort games" when no action is ever taken?

How about this - Just disable the Chat and also disable the Direct Messaging function altogether??? And (really) Auto Ban people who abort games all the time.

So that you won't face any issues with cussing, swearing, and what not???

Just a very sterile, and "sanitized" environment to play chess where no negativity is allowed. Only positive stuff.

Nah, I can't be the only one who has ever made this suggestion.......

@Ensigno Your example with the robber: This is actually the law in many countries. Especially you must not rob the robber.
