Why is the Lichess Forum So Toxic?

I have posted many topics of this forum, I am generally told by someone that I shouldn't be posting on the topic, or that I am not qualified to talk on the topic, or that I'm advertising something.

Someone recently used a four letter word used to describe excrement to describe the topics I created and asked for admin to close the topic and they did.

What is the point of a Forum where fellow users are bullied, intimidated and made to feel their own opinions are not worth anything.

Why is this forum so toxic and responses so aggressive, snarky and sarcastic?

If it is by a vocal minority of toxic users they are very loud and decent users are either afraid to stand up to them or simply avoid sharing their opinion.

Is this the kind of Forum you want @thibault?

It's far easier for some to be horrible. Chess players I find , tend to think they are the best. So what they say ,because they are so clever, is right. I really wouldn't worry about it. When you get knocked down , stand up. Again and again. People don't like you because they're jealous of what you've achieved in chess, you seem to be an entrepreneur in the chess field.as far as I know being on forums for few years. Don't let the b******s get you down. A kind word goes a long way horrible words should wash over you like water off a ducks back , don't worry ,keep up the good work , keep going don't worry bout horrible people they don't like themselves, poor them!! Lol

JUst dont bother looking at the negetive opinions. If u care so much about what a random noboy on a chess forum says you gotta toughen up

I do not have any idea where this happened recently.

Looked through your history, your threads were civil and normal ... (e.g. the resolutions one was good)

I'm a bit unclear though. Do you mean crap or dung?

well, i dislike the forums as much as anyone. but you have to admit that your topics are indeed well described by four letter words.

@michuk I was really shocked when I read your text and couldn't really believe what you wrote! But with your more than 500 posts here in the forum, you will unfortunately have had some bad experiences.

Don't be discouraged or even intimidated by a few fools! I encourage you to keep commenting on topics that are important to you. And if the cases you describe repeat themselves, report these accounts to Lichess immediately.
