Why "good luck" and not "good game" !!! "Gg"

Why "good luck" and not "good game" !!! "Gg"

All those who attend clubs and tournaments know it. In chess, whether in clubs or tournaments, people are respectful. It is customary, before starting a game, when the referee has finished saying what he has to say, to shake hands and say "good match". And never "good luck". I have never heard anyone say that to his opponent and it seems completely out of place and disrespectful. Chess is well known to be a game that has no more than 0% chance. That these people there play poker or even scratch games ;) They can then legitimately have fun.

It seems to me that to even give bad habits to the youngest children, internet is dangerous for that ...

Good games to all! ;)
Does it really matter what people say in the grand scheme of things? I don't care personally whether my opponent says good luck, good game or nothing at all.
@ General ^--_O_--^ delay

It would be bad faith to speak of great schema here. it means what it means. It's as simple as clear and precise. All you have to do is search for the word "luck" in the dictionary if you have a significant time lag in the language.

Chess do not refer to luck at all. They are well known to have no percentage on the contrary.
Why do you speak of offense? It's you ho tells that. And that's what you want visibly.

Me, I'm talking about precision of the language.

And is very provable that there is a kind of people, minority, nowadays, who seeks to offend. These are the frustrated and the dull. You seem to know that.

For my part, I leave you in your poor vision of the world. I speak ONLY here of precision of the language.

It's a big mistake to put "Good Luck" in the place of "Good Game" for the reasons I mentioned before ...

Looks like it comes from the amateurism of a frustrated man who has never set foot in a chess club
I have never played chess in a club or tournament, so I'm confused.

In the computer games that I have played for 10+ years (WC3:TFT and SC2:LotV) - in every professional match both players always have said "good luck have fun" at the start and "good game" at the end of game, with the occasion addition of "well played" at the end too.
It's considered basic sportsmanship, so much so that I would guess that 80-90% of casual players say it every game too.

Why would be right for those games but wrong for chess?

Not saying glhf at start of game feels arrogant for me. And yet you claim the opposite to be true...

Funnily enough, in those 2 games that I have experience with - some rare few actually do say "gg" ar start of games. But since it's customary to say it at the end and the first to say should always be the loser, as to declare that the game is over - many rude players say "gg" first when they are winning, since you know... they declare that the game is over and they won. And that's why there are some who consider those, that say "gg" ar start, to be rude. :D

Really though, I think @General--__--Advance is right when he says none of it matters.
You are full of bad faith. It is to wish "good luck" to his opponent in a game that contains none that is arrogant!!! ;) And to wish "Good Game" is healthy is respectful.

You would like the world to change according to your very unhealthy envy, will you try to justify the unjustifiable. No healthy person will be stupid enough to believe you ;)
I'm bored of this. Your sentences are barely legible. Think whatever you wish. I don't really care.
These attempts are as miserable as they are ridiculous.
In club people will continue to support themselves "good game" and not "good luck". No offense to the miserable and the frustrated. ;)
What you are, you will not be able to communicate it. It's too bad and too miserable. it will never take in real life;)
