what can be done to achieve a 50% male to female ratio in the top 100 in chess/on lichess?

this inequality is driving me crazy. some misogynist will surely try to use this underrepresentation of women to argue in favour of some made up male superiority. could ads aimed at females increase their interest for the Sport? any ideas are welcome

Why is that even a goal? Females are free to play if they choose. No one is stopping them. No one is encouraging boys and men while discouraging girls and women. If women like the game and are good enough, they will equal men. If not, they won't. Do we also want a transgender ratio goal for the top 100, as if anyone is doing anything to stop transgender people (or females) from playing chess?

There seem to be a lot more of these political/aggravating threads these days. A user called LGBT_girl also opened a thread, with a topic something along the lines of "scientists are fat-shaming people by saying they're unhealthy" or something like that.

Its probably the same person,(LGBT_Girl), so just ignore it. Don't waste your time, they'll just troll the heck out of you.

This does also raise the question, why are there female only tournaments? It's not like football or boxing where men are built to be better physically, so why the divide?
