Take back option.

It's better to lose 1 million games than play with takebacks.
Option to disable takeback is the best feature any chess playground can offer. You should be grateful and not complaining.
Even better if whole takeback feature would not exist. I understand it Go where 19x19 board make's it far more likely to have a mouse slip. But in chess absolutely not
The problem with that large servers: there are countless noobs. That's ok what strength concerns, we all got started somewhere in time. But they have peculiar views of fairness, rules, and so on.

For example I consider highly unfair: you know you make mistakes and you search for opponents who should jugde about that.

I disable takebacks in rated games, and only play rated games, so...
I always had takeback on, just to judge if my opponent made a misclick in a long game or something. I disabled it forever when someone requested takeback when I was in time trouble and I assumed it was a draw request and eventually flagged. lol
Sounds like a bad feature request. Okay let me rephrase that; not bad but unnecessary. Like there is so much more things lichess can do. Also, think about how much your restricted to the amount of opponents you can play by using that feature.
Official generalized rules are laid down so that everyone can play on common ground and enjoy the game. Maintain the challenge by following the rules. Anything else are home made rules.

Image a poker game where a player accidentally drops and shows one of their cards to the players. They request to be dealt another card because everyone saw it. The dropped card was not the fault of the dealer. It's not wise to use take-backs for slip-ups. It is wiser to accept spilled milk.

Nothing guarantees that a player will accept take-backs, even if they have the feature enabled. By having the feature enabled, the risk of being disturb during your train of thought has increased.
