Just like in a chess match no one can control or predict another's behavior. When starting in chess decades ago I allowed my emotions to run wild with each and every game. I played and mostly lost, and yes rude people either teased me, or left me in the lurch, which infuriated me. Now that I'm older and wiser, but not that better at chess, I play for fun, and those things no longer bother me. Life is short.
