carlsen would destroy fischer, even if u put fischer around the same age/times as magnus lives in. Fischer destroyed his own chess career because of mental issues. the man had some problems. we all do. given the technology and software today, most gms now are stronger than fischer ever was. our understanding of the game has evolved. i'm not sure we should be comparing todays gms with gms of the past at all. we should admire and respect their games and try to put ourselves in their time.
