Opponent accuse me of only play time in blitz

Hi everyone,
Just another blitz game, and after the game my opponent accuses me of the only playtime which I think he is saying I flagged him. I responded with: "Time is an important factor in a blitz" after that he told me to watch Kramnik talking about time in chess and told me I am only playing not for the win but for the time.
Did I tell him the right response when I said: "Time is an important factor in a blitz"

Yes, "Time is an important factor in a blitz" is a correct answer, even though it has a grammar mistake.

@Aiden_Chen If someone said that time is not important, then they are cut out for classical, and should probably be playing that instead.

you are right...Time management is very important in blitz

The kramnik video was an april fools. It was edited to make it seem like Kramnik was denouncing flagging when he was actually denouncing cheating.

@Aiden_Chen, what your opponent said doesn't matter to you, does it? Just try to avoid those things in life. People will tell many bad things, but it's YOU who tries to avoid those. You can play on time as Blitz is mostly about it..
