Running out of time one move away from checkmating the opponent. Most annoying thing ever.
How about accidentally stalemating your opponent, instead of checkmating them, when you aren't losing on time?
if it happended with king and queen vs king then thats even more annoying cause you should know better :P
I hit the "resign" instead of the "offer draw" button.
Hahahah! Well at least you were in a drawing position not in a winning position.
Hitting the resign button instead of declining the takeback request that your opponent withdrew at that moment. (I don't know if this has been fixed, but it did happen to me once. Resign verification saved me)
This is the second time I am losing on time today 1-2 moves from checkmate...I'm dyyyinnng lol
How about when you accept a takeback and offer another just to have your time expire?
Something even more annoying happened to an opponent of mine...He did a good move, then he asked for a takeback...and instead of that move he took my queen which I discovered by moving my knight out of the pin...then he got checkmated by my knight and bishop...the truth hurts lol
@jonesmh , this is truly the worst. Had this happen once. Guy was unapologetic about it. "You shouldn't have accepted my takeback request. I was just using it to distract you"
