#NoMoreWtitles

First, I want to clarify that this is an opinion, not a statement.

I think it's very sexist to have a different title just for not being male. You need less elo to become a WFM that a FM, I think that implies women are worse, and that's not true (in my opinion). In comparison with physical sports, it's very different; male have a biological advantage over women in sports. Male and female have the same cognitive ability so, why making this unnecessary distinctions?

Any opinions about this?
this seems like an excellent suggestion
although maybe this is supposed to belong in lichess feedback....
idk tho
Absolutely agree. Perhaps lichess could use this proposal so that official instances have a precedent to fall back on.
just wanna point out that women are worse than men at chess, how come I never see a W(fm/gm/nm/cm) on the leaderboard
@USA_HORDE its because there are probably more men interested in chess, and therefore, more great male chess players
women aren't worse, there are just less of them that play chess, so there are less great female chess players
of course there are probably a bajillion other reasons why

just saying, this is what i think so dont think of this as a fact
i could be wrong
There's lots of research and commentary on this @USA_HORDE , including a blog here on Lichess lichess.org/blog/X9i1gRUAAJzOKpd0/invisible-pieces-women-in-chess. Also please think about how your comments might affect other people and remain respectful.

As far as Lichess not giving W titles? My unofficial opinion is that it's pretty unlikely that we change from what FIDE does for the time being since it's so established, and it would be a highly controversial decision.
It's like that stupid study that said black people had low IQ, when it was entirely predictable that a group of people without access to education or basic needs could not succeed on a standardized test with school content. Women didn't have the access back in the day and now there are simply less of them than men because they repeat "women are worse than men" over and over again. Pygmalion.
Oddly enough, I was just reading about Pygmalion (thus my latest trivial question).
