Hello guys!
The Nakhmanson Gambit arises after 1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 Nc6 3. Bc4 Nf6 4. d4 exd4 5. O-O Nxe4 6. Nc3 and is a dubious, but popular try of some chess streamers and youtubers.
Does anyone of you know where the name of this gambit come from?
I could not find anything on the Internet.
Thanks.
thats crazy, shit like that makes me wanna play e4 :)
As far as I know it is an invention of Jonathan Schrantz.

It's named after the famous grandmaster, Mr Gambit.
Jonathan Schrantz.
If someone knows more I would appreciate if he would share his knowledge with us. I made some research myself for my Nakhamsnon Gambit study, but couldn't find anything.

It's probably about time to rename it the Schrantz Gambit.
I mean, objectively the gambit is garbage, you play with Kf6 and will end up a piece up as Black. But in blitz it is certainly dangerous especially if they don't know it.
Well maybe to a computer its garbage <3
I think it has been invented by GM Nakhmanson Gambit. Its funny that there exist so many gambits, that means there were a lot of people named "Gambit" in the past.
