Lichess to FIDE general conversion

I have looked at various data including local players near me and data found online, and for those curious I have found a way to approximate your FIDE rating based off of your lichess ratings (if you have well established blitz, rapid and classical ratings). There is still some error of say +/- about 100 ELO and of course if your personal lichess or OTB ratings are out of date, then that must be taken in to consideration before saying “oh this is way off for me.”

Anyways for those curious:

(((18xLichess Blitz)+(10xLichess Rapid)+(3xLichess Classical))/36)+150=FIDE

For USCF players (such as myself) you can use the USCF’s own conversion for FIDE to USCF to get an approximate USCF rating thereafter. That formula is:

USCF=(FIDE*0.94)+180 if FIDE is 2000 or less or USCF=(FIDE*1.02)+20 if FIDE is 2000 or greater.

An example NM I personally know:

Real Ratings:
Blitz - 2430
Rapid - 2430
Classical - 2289
USCF - 2308

Equation would estimate his USCF as the following:
((18*2430)+(10*2430)+(3*2289))/36 + 150 = 2230.75 FIDE which is then converted...
USCF=(2230.75*1.02)+20=2295.37 or 2295 rounded down.

His real USCF is 2308. An overall error of only 13 ELO

Anyway, this equation certainly works with a high degree of accuracy for every player I know. Use for your own entertainment purposes.

This formula will deduct more points from your lichess rating at higher levels like 2000 than for lower ratings like 1000. This is the opposite of how it really works. People rated above 2000 lichess need to deduct very little from their lichess rating to get their FIDE rating. In fact in the highest brackets they are often the same.
But your formula would deduct MORE points at the higher levels.

He gave you an example. Can't you figure out how to do it from that example?

It was a joke. I was bumping the tread because its interesting.

Oh haha. Yea I think it's an extremely interesting topic too.
The sad part is it usually draws a bunch of YOU CAN"T COMPARE LICHESS RATINGS AND FIDE RATINGS fanatic people and then the useful conversation gets derailed.
Pleasantly none of them have joined the thread yet.
