It helps you play better, but I am not sure if it is good for you, for you would not be able to do it in a tournament irl.

My case is even more weird; since I learned chess through English material, I am only familiar with chess terminology in English. So whenever I'm playing chess, I start to speak English and it weirds out everybody around.
if it suits you , go for it !
It might help in doing analysis with others but my guess is that it would be more of a hinderance than help if that was the only way you could calculate - much like reading aloud is slower than reading to yourself.
It's not bad for online but if you're planning to play OTB, it can cause you some problems, because it can be a habit.
