Is Magnus Carlsen afraid to play Chess?

If he plays, he would be in trouble, and he doesn't like to be in trouble :)

I have basically the same problem. No super model I've asked for a date has ever said yes. Fear, it has to be fear.

I assume the OP is a troll post. You know, someone tries to be amusing but they are really high so its mostly just stupid. So before you hit "submit" on your response, make sure your response amuses you :)

Hello, I understand your wish (or that of your friend) to face Magnus Carlsen, nevertheless know that Carlsen, as multi-champion of the world, is popular. he receives thousands of messages every day and hundreds of challenges for a game. he cannot accept all these challenges and therefore Carlsen does not accept these "random" challenges. Carlsen doesn't play lichess very often outside of titled Arenas and offerspill (his academy club). the only way for you to play as him would be to be in the same events as him, and be lucky that the pairing allows you to play Carlsen. he's not afraid of anything, he's at the peak of his career and hasn't yet found any opponents for challenging him as well and questioning the next world championship, Carlsen isn't not arrogant, I've seen picture where you can see Carlsen signing autographs to his fans at the exit of the airport, nevertheless you must imagine that with his popularity, Carlsen cannot play with everyone, he is followed by professional players who will carefully watch which opening he will play, which line, variation... and at the next prestigious Over the board tournament, Carlsen's professional opponents will be ready. in professional chess, there is a form of secrecy in the preparations, and that is what champions do

He is afraid of if he does the challenge and your friend cries then it will be annoying.

I never said we'd serve Magnus a piece. I just said he brings the chocolate cake.

You should report him. You know it is against the terms and conditions of lichess to name and shame someone.
