ICC Has Gone Way Downhill

In some ways I agree ICC (Chessclub) is overpriced. But their are very good layers and they do not talk of cheaters much less have groups that name and shame suspected cheaters.
lichess does a great job-just wish they would stop the cheating talkers. (CIA)
PS these things you solve to post some one will not figuare out how to do it and say cheat
I agree that CIA is a disgrace... But in some ways that team is overwhelming with enthusiasm and the desire to strive for a change that it's uplifting even if some of the discussions there are silly.
The only thing ICC has over any other service is a well developed and very strong player-base. Give it time - if ICC continues to do what it's doing now (nothing), they'll all move over to other sites eventually. If you're paying attention, you can already see the movement starting over to LiChess. Guys like Hansen, Hammer, Smeets, etc, were not on LiChess 6 months to a year ago. And more will come, because the experience here is just miles ahead of what you get anywhere else, and still evolving so damn quick.
Yeah so ...one of the things that always made ICC great was that it was the best interface to play blitz on. I just, for the first time, played a session of blitz (3+2) on here and I like it miles above any other platform I've played blitz on yet. I mean, ICC is still good with their pairing pools but ...there's no increment on their blitz pools and honestly, after playing blitz on here blitzin seems more like an annoyance than the capable client it once was.
And yet I feel like a total jerk as I've gravitated back over there. For whatever reason, Blitzin annoys me when I'm using it (at times) but the new 3.11 combined with the new 25+10 pool isn't that bad. At all. Also, considering that they're advertising like beggers and have lowered their prices, the population has increased. Things were getting a little top heavy (ratings) there for a while so it's nice to see them bring in some new blood.

I'm obviously still going to play here a ton but ...just haven't the past week and half. When I do though, my ratings in blitz and classical are going way up. I've seen how if one so chooses to envelope themselves in chess and critically work on their mistakes, great things can happen. Losses hurt though. A lot. Just as much of the challenge in psychological for me but I've been making a lot of progress.
That's a very interesting observation, King__Fischer. Care to elaborate on why you feel that way?
I left ICC because of massive amounts of cheating which mostly involved the use of COACHES who charged poor players for lessons and givng them moves via phone (or something other) resulting in 1200 level players destroying 1500-1600 players. It canbe detected if you watch other players games at different times and see their natural blunder skill set versus a coach playing. Reporting cheating to ICC never resulted in my seeing one correct decision regarding blatent use of external help. Some players used 1800 level computer help which will destroy most of us but this also can be detected via careful observation. ICC sucks in my opinion.
