I hate these kinds of people

He blundered his queen then asked for a take back twice and then waited for like 8 minutes for his clock to run out. Very annoying.

you shoulda just resigned, and let him CHOKE on the rating points. that's what i do. it ain't worth sitting there stewin'. my main gripe on lichess is guys who waltz off after they';ve discovered, irrefutably, how stupid and worthless they truly are.....

Don't waste your energy on someone you can't control - sadly, you will run into this from time to time playing online. They're probably not even thinking about it now but you still are... don't let them ruin your mood. When this happens, I just open up another window and study my opening repertoire for a bit until the clock runs down.

I do sympathize, but it's just not worth getting wound over.

Hey OP, I sympathize with you as well. Sorry that you had to waste your time.

Why do you think that people do that? Do you think they're trying to make you angry, as vengeance for beating them? Are they malicious?

I'm inclined to believe that they're not, just angry- sometimes you do stupid stuff when angry... it might be that they are too angry at their loss, so they're trying to postpone it somehow?

I looked at @mikefay's profile and he has been on a losing streak! Sucks when that happens...

Hopefully @mikefay will one day realize that it's bad to do that kind of thing and stop doing it.

Resigning would encourage that kind of behavior.

what you are supposed to do is spam press the +15 seconds on them, then wait for THEM to be the ones to resign once they see that they have a bajillion seconds left on the clock.

The touch rule is something a lot of people struggle with. Even Magnus Carlsen was upset as it happened to him. Look at his karate hand lol he was mad too haha... you know both players hate such a situation... understandable
