Horde is my favorite chess variant on this site. I play mostly longer games, something like 10+5, and I noticed that it's much harder to play with pawns at least at my level. While Black can make mistakes and still have a decent chance to win, if White makes a mistake and gets their lines too thin somewhere or something - it's over. Does anyone feel same way? Any tips for playing with pawns?
Aren't pawns better in this game?? I don't have a clue but I heard some streamers say it ...I forgot who tho
Playing with pawns is actually easier but <5 min time controls.10+5 is easy win for black.
It seems like black is winning the current horde setup. So yes, its not so easy to play the pawns. Just play games with < 1 min, then you've so many pawns your opponent will have a hard time elimintating them all before he runs out of time^^
