How long do chatbans last?

A lot of my friends are getting chatbanned now and then , I've always wondered how long do they usually last??

that is a good question! maybe lichess should tell people why they are banned and for how long. for exapmle: "you have used inappropriate language in the chat. this is strike one. you are thus chatbanned for three days. please think about your behaviour in our community. thank you."

And also there is a different between people who insult and people who just accuse each other of cheating , insulting and disrespecting is worse than just accuse of cheating so lichess should realise the difference between the offensive bad users and just people who accuse other of cheating because they were angry or may be they are right
I am with the accuse of cheating ( if we are right of course or almost right ) and I am against disrespect and insults

I believe there are people,who get banned permanently and some get temporary banned in the chat e.g. 10 minutes for inappropriate behavior,spamming etc..

But yes,it is a good idea to warn people if they acted bad in the chat,so they could learn from their mistake and next time being nice.

Public shaming...it is hard to explain but usually people accuse others of cheating if they are quite sure about it and many times that is true,so i believe moderators should be less strict to these people and give 5 minutes timeout instead of 10 maybe+many people do not know about reports function,so most people will shame in the tournament room anyways.
What lichess could do about is something like guide that shows all options and features on Lichess and also terms of service.

P.S. Thanks Lichess for adding new v2 version.I am not used to it very much yet,but it is pretty awesome!
