How do you manage time?

Am loosing all my won games because of time. How do you manage your time? Or maybe how do I get myself to play faster and accurate?

I stopped playing Bullet and Blitz but am still doing the same in Rapid!

Here is a game I strongly felt I was winning but lost on time.

Play classical then :)

You should want to improve the quality of your chess without terrible clock pressure first if your goal is to improve your real chess skill.

You need to know, which moments are crticial. For example after move 15 when you win the queen, you can play extremely fast because you are already a queen up, so it doesn't matter a lot anymore what you play, just as long as you don't blunder, you will win anyway.
Perhaps also if rating means a lot to you and that gives you pressure while playing, play unrated games.
When you have less than 3 minutes time, you can't use 1 minute for one move (unless it's for a decisive advantage and you start playing fast after that). Like 27. Nh4 in the former and 24. Bxf6 in the latter. As @jeffforever said, when you have a clear advantage, it doesn't matter so much what you play as long as you don't blunder. You don't need to find the best move. Trade all pieces and clear the board.

Another easy solution would be playing with increment. If you're in time trouble, make safe, meaningless moves to gain time for finishing the game.
I can move fast because I think fast and have seen many tactics. For non-tactical move I rely on general principles. Post #3 give a good hint about game #1. In game #2, move 21, your though process should go:
My bishop just got attacked
- Should I capture something? The Knight on e7 can be captured safety, it places a Rook on the seventh, it also forks the pawns which are both basically unprotected.
- Should I ignore the threat perhaps making a bigger threat? Nothing, except the last point, is a bigger threat.
- Should I move it? To where? As no square looks good on general principles (no square creates a threat or applies pressure. f4 is the best choice, and it does nothing there and can be chased again by g5). The exchange should also be considered, but on principle this isn't a good move.
- Should I defend it? No then I lose a bishop for a pawn.
The best option is therefore the first, unless you have a valid reason for moving the bishop. (In a similar position, as this specific position that would be a bad move.)
This is a special case as something must be done with this threat. Notice that the list goes from the most aggressive to the most passive.

On normal moves, I think of possible tactics, king attacks/safety, pawn structure, open lines I can control, weak points in both camps, and where my pieces belong. Also you're allowed to think on your opponent's time, find the weak points and where the pieces should go to exploit those weaknesses.

I know that this is confusing to beginners, especially the ones who don't know what a weak point is or what to look for in a pawn structure. These could be topics for other threads where the advanced players could help explain these concepts to the rest.

In game 1 you are a queen up on move 16 with 6 minutes on your clock.
In game 2 you are a knight up on move 23 with 2 minutes on your clock.
You should be able to win these positions with 30 seconds on your clock.
Why do you spend so much time after you get such a decisive advantage?
I can understand you do not rush it, but when you get down to 1 minute you should speed up.

1) Assess the time per move .

2) Recognize the moments when you have to take time and the times when you have to play quickly.

3) Look at the clock each time you press the button

4) Use your adversary's time to look at the position (strategy, some possible and easy tactical moves).

5) If you are late in time: Simplify the position by exchanging all that is exchangeable in order to reduce the risk of error
I have the opposite problem. I either see the right move or I don’t. I can keep looking at a position until cows come home, but the move I saw first is still my #1 best candidate move. Lol

So in my games I either win due to a tactic or lose due to a tactic, OR I flag my opponent in a hopeless for me position since I’m usually ahead on the clock since I make instant and often mindless or blunder moves lol

OP, just move faster bro...
