Imagine the Knight always moving forward, not backwards.
Let the knight lean against the empty square on it's left.
When the knight is incapable of moving up, then from under the table, turn the chessboard counter-clockwise and continue dragging the knight forward. The pickled knight should be able to cover the full chessboard with it's eyes closed.
Next time, try two different colored knights on the chessboard. Each player playing their turn. Drop some coins or pawns on the squares that one of the knights have already stepped on.
