Drop a piece, offer a draw

So this little fellow dropped his queen and then... offered me a draw. That is the second time it happened to me today. I can't understand why someone would think that I would accept a draw in such situations.

I think they're hoping you accept (intentionally [no idea why you would] or accidentally [still unlikely, but more possible]). I've had it happen to me at least ten times. It's just one of the unfortunate things that happens in online chess.

Since he resigned immediately after, I would postulate that he accidentally pressed the draw button which is right next to the resign button.

lol I do encounter that from time to time. Fight or resign!
