Do you ever feel like you’re opponent is cheating

I’m not saying all the time as I know that you guys have things in process about cheating but recently I’ve had a feeling that my opponents have either been using engine’s or at least getting help somewhere else. I’m not a poor sport but playing online is so bad sometimes. Now I know people will look at my games and say that I have played bad mives. Yes everyone makes mistakes in chess and that’s how we learn but I don’t know I’ve just got that feeling. I have had my railing increased twice before because of cheating and that takes all the fun out of what I love about this game.

Did you just admit cheating? :O

Edit: Oh, you mean, you got a rating refund, right?

I’m not clever enough to know if my opponent is cheating.. one the odd occasion I’ve thought I may have encountered a cheater, game analysis has showed (as far as I can see), I have not... and if you need to cheat to beat me, then you are one sad SoB!

I mostly can smell if my opponent is cheating. And then that account gets banned.

No I agree with you there but what I’m saying is people cheat to improve there raising. But cheating takes the fun out of the game. My raitung does not bother me.

I had this feeling for a while. A couple of times i was so sure i reported the game(s) and in each case they were banned, but i've gotten over that initial feeling (which was a kind of paranoia that a lot of people are cheating) and now i just enjoy the game. Sometimes I voluntarily play bots, sometimes it happens without my knowing. I'm not in it for money or glory so can live with that.
