Congratulations Lance

Congratulations Lance5500 for another win and a historic 11 marathon wins!
Does anyone have experience with lance as a coach? He frequently advertises in simuls. He never publishes his rates. In his simuls, he accepts only members of his fan club with specific criteria making sure they are weak and his extra time is very large (50 minutes for 5 minute simul with 2 or 3 weak players). He never reveals his identity or his fide title. He appears to be a narcissistic person. Such people can be very good chess players but they do not have the patience to teach other people.
Glad to see you win another marathon Lance. :)

@hangrad It's very reasonable to ask questions about what he's like as a coach, so I have no problem with that. I did want to say that I don't think he's a narcissist though. He's always been very humble and polite in lichess public forums in my experience. I think only accepting fan club members is just marketing--giving games to members incentivises people to join the fan club. And playing weak players just makes him more likely to look like a good player, thus making the simuls better marketing for his coaching services. I don't think it has anything to do with him having a big ego.
Only narcissists have fan clubs. Why would anyone else need a fan club? Each player who runs a fan club has a big ego and a specific idea of making money from the fan club. I agree with #4. There are players with much bigger egos than lance has. For example the penguin charges $1 for each bullet game. Lance's ego is not as big yet. It's probably because he is not GM yet. Coaches who have GM title are usually very expensive. The players who run fan clubs have big egos and are not humble. Why would anyone want to hire a coach who has a fan club, refuses to reveal identity and has no fide title? All other coaches are required to have a fide title. It looks suspicious.
