Hi, I would say I am still a beginner at chess, but I am curious about which website has the better players? And what would my "online rating" be considered? Take note, I do not have a real rating with FIDA.
I feel with Lichess, I get a slightly less aggressive play and more positional. However, my rating on chess.com is in the 1200's and on Lichess I am about to hit 1800. That is quite the difference. What are you guys thoughts on chess.com vs lichess?

In the lower levels, say below 1800, players on chess.com are muc stronger than those on lichess. In general 1400 chess.com ~ 1800-1900 lichess, atleast that's my experience with playing on both sites. However, the gap seems to decrease as you go up the rating ladder.

I too have a much lower rating at chess.com (300 points lower).

The rating gap is not so wide for me. I am rated 1700 on chess.com and 1850 here on Lichess. The players on chess.com appear to make far fewer mistakes and blunders than their Lichess counterparts.

in past @chess.com they some time tweaked ratings by artificially decreasing/increasing it,I dint like such insanity so stopped playing there.

I left chess.com to come to lichess.org
I liked chess.com but their end product pails in comparison to liches.org. Not to mention chess.com is a paid membership for what you get free here...not bashing the competition. Just calling like I see it.
