Chess terminology for beginner players

The terminology is important as that allows you to discuss the games later without having to constantly reexplain yourself. To steal from the borrower, it's easy to refer to a rose, but having to constantly isolate the rose every time would be wasteful at best.

Awhile back...A player reported a bug to Lichess…It seems that when enpassant occurred in his game...He had no knowledge of it. Learning all the basic chess terminologies...such as absolute pins, rules of castling, must be taught. On a lighter note ...Sage advise...Never invoke enpassant... if you are in jail. :]
