Cheats?

I tried my hardest and through sheer concentration fought my up to 1300 + on a upward curve.
My win to loss ratio was pretty good up to that point but then the cheats just piled on in and with perfect moves and usually just one mistake along the way ( just to make it look good) lol proceeded time and time again to win.
I won't bother name then but they, and lichess, know who they are.
Oh well......
They're quite annoying, aren't they? Apologies for your rough experience.
I would rather not because I have no way to be prove it and I don't to be rude to anyone really.
I think it's just like life really, most good,a few bad,and it's the trying that counts lol
... Or maybe you were on an upward curve because your rating was rising to match your actual playing level, and now you've reached it and when the opposition is at your level or stronger it's harder to win. I'm not saying cheaters don't exist on lichess but they are not so common that they will affect your win rate and playing experience that much.
@bibbityboppityboo Cheaters are only as rampant and detrimental to you if you don't report them.
The forums can be a way for people to collectively let off steam about it, but the only way to stop them is to report the ones who you think are cheating - and accept all the times you're wrong about your accusation too (lichess will investigate properly).
Are you banned if you cancel ALL This account has violated Lichess Terms of Service-games?
I suggest you play against weaker opponents (by setting Create Game Parameters) only so you enjoy your winning streak illusion. It obstructs your learning and improvement progress however...
@BormazChess No, you had been banned before you got your first "This account has violated Lichess Terms of Service-games" opponent.
Wow!
I achieved the dizzy heights of around 1375 for a minute or two before I was assailed by numerous bots and programmers and cheats.
TBH I was was expecting it but I now as pattern emerging.
I can hold my own against two or three players who aren't cheating....climb on up to around the 1350 mark then it's like an open invitation at that point for the progs.
I feel it must be possible for lichess to use their algorithms to prevent this because if I wanted to play a computer I would do so but at least now I can tell more or less right off when I'm stuck with a cheat and I can't possibly win...so after their perfect killer moves I just give it up really and sacrifice every piece left, all of them,so as to not get banned for resigning and get it over and done with asap.
The whole lichess experience is somewhat soured when an honest genuine player enters into a game hoping that its going to be balanced and fair but sincerely doubting it.
