Tell me what you think about the amount of cheating that may go on on any given site. And how can it be remedied.
There's quite number of cheating on online sites but at Lichess, there's excellent cheating detection system, so nothing to worry about!

Why people still don't understand the dangers of cheating, in any activity/game?

It appears to be completely rife on Lichess without anything else to explain the clear imbalance in the 1 0 games. The games are unplayable as they are its just constant up down up down. The rating system makes no sense because the yo yo affect covers it all. When you lose on time in 90% of your losses to players around the same rating you know without doubt that the games are cooked. It is beyond ridiculous how accurate players are under pressure. Defence played instantly without any time lost at all. It is a complete joke and makes the site unpopular.
Remedy-
1. Make players sign a disclaimer that they will not cheat before they enter the site.
2. Threaten legal action in the disclaimer that anybody caught cheating will be potentially sued.
3. Take legal action against the worst cheaters to set an example that it will not be tolerated.
4. Crack down on all the untitled players and CMs with ratings over 2300+
5. Actively publish national lists of ranking and mark unknown player identities that don't correlate with Fide lists with an asterix to inform other players
6. Get serious about promoting international online chess events like la liga for all countries and have the players discuss their own lists with each other.
Online chess would be unbelievably great if game integrity can be maintained.

I would also add that players must tell Lichess when they have scheduled to go to the bathroom so that the site doesn't think they went to check an engine.
