Regium: Extraordinary Claims Require Extraordinary Evidence

Good spot that it might be a fake Kickstarter page chess.com, and thanks for letting us know @Fun4all

In case it’s real I will keep an eye on the Kickstarter page. If Regium’s countdown timer is correct (it says 18 hours 20 mins now), it will go live at 1pm GMT/midday CET tomorrow.
@RegisLakrids

Well, here are the facts:
- the promotional videos were, without a doubt, manipulated
- there is absolutely no reason to believe that the product (claimed being functional) even exists
- @Thibaut is a very smart person

It is kind of naive to assume that the actions @Thibaut took were not consulted with lawyers.
I believe that the scammers didn't realize that the amount of money @Thibaut can spend on lawyers is much higher than the amount of money they hoped to get by manipulation, lying and bullying in this Regium Chess scheme.

It is important to speak the truth. It is important to be brave.
When dishonest people attack me, I retaliate back with full force. The same applies for @Thibaut. The same applies to many people in Lichess community.

If there is someone who should be scared by a trial, it is the people behind Regium Chess.
We live in a society that runs out of popcorn pretty fast.
Are the lawyers of thibaut aware that a moderator said regium were criminals? If so, I suggest to change the lawyers..... according to French laws, lichess looses in a trial without any single doubts.

I let u Google the meaning of defamation and its implications ;)

Kudos to the Lichess Team for bringing the issue to light and others coming forward to investigate deeper. With the Kickstarter campaign starting tomorrow, I hope these messages reach out to all who were about to lighten their wallets believing they were supporting an initiative.It's better to wait and watch all that is unfolding.
Ok I need to apologize of my mistake.

Actually it wasn't a mod that said regium were criminals but a regular user. I can't understand why I mistaked him with a mod.

Sorry people, sorry lichess
@RegisLakrids
I cannot speak for @Thibaut. I cannot speak for his lawyers.
I'm speaking for myself.

I don't know much about French law, but in my country you can call people, who are involved in a criminal activity, criminals.
how can a company that doesn't exist sue anyone? I thought people searched for its registration and couldn't find it.
