The time in sport is a rule. You lose time and you do not win, so simple. That king and a bishop do not win, but they can draw for time, come on, they are different color, that's basic knowledge.
You can claim whatever you want after the game, in vain. You have to show it during the game, having no time left to show is at your expense. The position doesn’t count, except for one legal mating sequence. Case closed.

Yeah, this is one of the sad realities of Blitz/Bullet. Sooner or later you're going to get flagged in a clearly winning position. Certainly on bullet I've had lots of games where I lost with mate-in-one or mate-in-two on the board. But then, so have my opponents. If you aren't happy with that, the only thing to do is play on slower time controls, or at least play with increment so that you can avoid getting flagged in simple positions. But playing the clock and managing your time is part of the strategy... if you're ignoring that part of the game, then the opponent is playing with an advantage. Your opponent was leading you by almost a minute in time...
