Black Lion Opening

Hello Guys,
What are your thoughts on the black lion opening in rapid chess? Is it effective?
you shouldnt care at all about openings at your rating and idk bcs i dont play rapid. every opening is effective if you know it well.
#2 is abslutely crrect

OP answer is... NO nobody ever plays the mainline or ANY sideline that gives you an attack ( the whole purpose of the opening)

Everybdy just pushes d5 c4 and it gets really trashy from there on

Don't focus on openings at your rating. a good rating but very small tactical knowledge won't do you ANY good. the purpose of the opening is to set up tactics, therefor you need to know tactics
Not sure. Generally 1.e4 rings hollow for me. So not sure how to counter the Black Lion and how to get an advantage. Probably interesting choice like all this underrated Philidor thingy.
It's basically a modern Philidor, so it's certainly serviceable if you like those sorts of positions and understand the plans with it. You have to be comfortable with a space disadvantage and a passive (but solid) setup and carefully evaluate the position if you don't want to be overwhelmed. Some people are drawn to "one-size-fits-all" opening systems like this, but if you're lost once you get to the middle-game, then you might find playing more classical defenses help your development more. But, if you like it, have a decent understanding of the plans, and perform okay with it, go ahead and play it.
@chessypiano - Interesting, I'll have to go look up some games (and yes, you're absolutely right in that you can play openings with varying levels of risk/aggression!). Edit - I think I recall that the system promoted a push on the kingside, if I remember correctly...
It gives me bad luck 😭😭😃😭😭🤣 😭😭😭🤣😫😭😃😃😭😭🤣😫
It's bad but it might be effective at Patzer level. The only rule white has to know is: Never play h3 in the Philidor before black has not castled short! Without h3 the whole attacking plan with g5 and so on is unsound.
