A tricky subject: „Chess has a Problem - Men“

uhhh... what the heck? why men is problem? like most of gms are men? or what? the stupidity of 21st century society goes way up!
I can't see the article but pointing fingers at an entire gender is unproductive at best. It is important to remember that women also perpetuate sexist values to their daughters and peers. What I mean is that a mother is just as likely to be skeptical of her daughter's interest in chess as a father. We are all conduits of our culture and in some ways, victims of it.

true.
@Sarg0n I personally think that rape and toxic behaviour in chess have nothing to do with sexism, but much more with narcissism or abuse of power. I haven't even met a sexist chess player yet, but a lot of narcissistic or slightly sociopathic ones. Those individuals would exist just the same way when not playing chess, they also can't be changed without forcing them into therapy. Additionally those individuals do not only treat women bad, but all people in general. They for sure do not represent all chess players. I have met incredibly kind chess players of any age that welcomed every new women in the chess community with joy and respect.

So naming the article "game of sexists" suggests the assumption that there hasn't really been much research done on this topic at all and instead the creators chose to interview random victims and create yet another "men are bad" article instead of really finding out about the possible underlying reasons of problems in chess communities. I feel very sorry for every person that was treated unfairly because of gender or race, but I am of the strong belief those occasions have very little to do with chess and most of the time even little to do with the chess community.
I talked to several chess playing women and what they had reported about some of my male comrades is not that far away from the article.
