Why Chess is all about the prepation ?? Am i wrong ??

This one is from my game.I prepared g4 move in this opening line. After that every thing became very easy for me. Looks like

chess is all about the prepation. Am i wrong ?
This was a bullet game. Preparation is mostly irrelevant in bullet. It was also not a large factor in the game you posted, imo. Black blundered at move 14 (fyi, eval went from +1.5 to +8.2). While blacks position was worse before the blunder, it was nowhere near lost. Ask yourself this, if you could play the position just before the blunder but this time against a GM (or engine), how would you fare? My guess is that you would lose the vast majority of the time. Why? Because chess is about much more than preparation.
Chess is not about preparation at all.
Lasker said: variations are transient, method is eternal.
There are many examples.
Marshall analysed his gambit for years before playing it against Capablanca, who refuted it over the board.
lol and what if i play something that you didnt prepeare?you cant prepare for every move.there like a billion different positions after an opening.prparation is important,but its not "all".
@Yumitho nice
How did you go about? Did you look through a game where it was played, or did you systematically go through likely replies?

To the rest of you: why are you so negative?
He doesn't need to look through a billion different positions, only enough to get a feel of likely plans and structures.
@BlackSalt i didnt say that he needs to look to billion positions,i said there are.therefore preparing cannot be the most important thing in chess because there is a huge material to cover.but getting a feel of the positions is really important(what u are saying).
I think it depends more on the level of play. On GMs level you probably need to invest quite a lot in openings preparations, but below that just have some opening lines that you are comfortable to play with and it will be enough, especially in blitz games. I learned chess seriously till about age of 16-17, when I reached a rating of 2300. Then I stopped doing it, and a chess remained for me as a hobby, so twenty plus years after that when I am occasionally playing blitz games online, I still using the same openings that I learned while being teenager (I did not learn much new since then), but it usually enough for me to play on 2100-2200 level today.
@domatas, alright, then I see things the way you see them, I just interpreted the title more generally :)
@BlackSalt

I always think in advance what my opponent can play.Then i try found out the best surprisingly way to play against my opponent.This is my fifth years at chess.and my preparation technique is really works
