Clearly i have a huge advantage as time ran out, yet i am deemed the "loser"... why?
Running out of time is a loss. It will only be a draw if your opponent does not have enough material to mate you. Note that a pawn always counts as enough material.
You ran out of time, your opponent didn't. Position on the board is irrelevant.
