How many moves does it take to beat Level 1 ?

Step 1 » Set your clock at 10 minutes + 5 seconds.
Step 2 » You play the White pieces (without assistance) against Level 1.
Step 3 » Analyse the results and only post them if the results are better than the last post. So, the Checkmate must be quicker and both players must have a better centipawn result then the previous post displayed.

The engine centipawn loss was higher than the last post. Interesting game, but this game should not have been posted.

The delta in centipawn loss is mostly a function of the length of the game, so in practice someone needs to beat 21 ACPL while mating in less than 30 moves but not TOO many moves less or black's ACPL is going to be too high.

The above game would have qualified if white had delayed the mate until move 20 while never letting the score drop low enough (below +10 I think) to affect the centipawn loss numbers.

It's not an easy challenge to try to produce the smallest results from both sides using level one. So to correct the challenge:

Add both black & white average centipawn losses together and that's the next number to beat, besides the number of moves.
