Improving my game

I played a lot slower this game and took a lot more time to think about my moves. I only made one mistake in the opening that wasn't even a losing move. Things are getting better.

5 Be2 is passive. You should play 5 Nbd2 to challenge Ne4 on its dominant position in the center.
6 O-O is dangerous, as black can attack with 6...g5. You lose the bishop's pair. Your king is unsafe.
13 Qb3 allows him to trade his knight for your good bishop, not on the color of your pawns. You should save your bishop with 13 Be2 and you can kick the knight back later with a3 if you like.
22 Kf2 is passive. better 22 Ne5, centralising your knight with all kinds of threats.
After his horrendous blunder 23...Rfc8 the game is over.
At that point in this 45+0 time control game you have still 26 minutes and he has 33. So his playing too fast explains his blunder. You could have played a bit slower.
Everybody can play free of blunders, just take time.

Yeah. I realised castling on the kingside was a bad move. I should've challenged his knight on e4 first. I was worried about Bb4 but I challenge with c3. I actually allowed him to trade the knight for the bishop because all he would have left would be his bad bishop and I would have a good knight.

i think castling is not too dangerous because black doesn't have pressure on the kingside. it's still quite safe. However, i just want to point out that after f4, you can play Nf3 so that black doesn't have a chance to break your support by playing ...g5

Good games btw
