It annoys me when I read mouthy folk saying they dont know how they are the rating they are! You can't win all games and rating is relative. True strength lies in tact and guile.

Why are you the rating you are if you beat a 2200+? See, goes both ways when you ask a silly question. You'll learn, mistakes happen and often.
His peak rating was around 2350, he probably has more chess knowledge or skills than you, he porbably beats more 2200 than you. He could be drunk when he played, or sick, a lot of things could have happened.

This is just poor sportsmanship from you. Every player has the odd bad game of chess and it could happen to you one day.
