Connection problem

I watched on my end the opponents clock time out and when it finished, nothing happened until I refreshed the page. At which point I ended up losing the game and 10 points meanwhile the opposing player gained +30.

Any thoughts ?

Also I forgot to mention for several minutes the board indicated that my opponent left the game. I sat waiting for the clock to time out to discover a very aggravating ending.
