This line 3 Nc3 4 Bc4 is not the most critical one. 4 d4 is the sharpest and 4 c3 and 4 c4 try to positionally refute.
Why not 5 e5?
7 Ne2 seems plain wrong. Why play Nc3 a second time while other pieces are undeveloped? Why would the knight be better at e2 than at c3?
