ChessBase India sounded like a company channel, so I dismissed it. I saw it's pretty popular, though. I couldn't have judged it in time, as I would have had to watch a lot of content :D

Also, I realized I missed about 5 channels that I had prepared to include. Maybe I will update the Excel, but not the blog post.

Ehh, it IS kind of a company channel, it's sort of like Chess 24 for indians, if you go through the comments everyone that suggested this channel has an indian flag on their profile (not to dismiss their opinion of course). I personally wouldn't take this one in consideration, but you do you.

I'm going to continue to be happy whenever Anna or her mother appear via a YouTube with chess pieces in their hands. And a huge number of subscribers apparently agree. Her dad would be great, too -- but I don't know yet if he appears via YouTube.

See, most people don't want instructive videos. I'd guess that youtube popularity has some correlation with videos that have a high stimulation to required brain power ratio. And usually being loud does the job :sigh:

Nice data though! Will definitely check out some of those channels near the top (i'm mostly watching Daniel King and Matthew Sadler these days)

@paulll it was a useful exercise. Because I used my own principles on my own evaluations, now I have no reasonable excuse to not watch the channels that raised to the top. Even if I don't get them completely, it's proof that I have to make the effort rather than only pick the videos my brain can wrap around at bed time :)
