Go to Zakynthos or another island in summer! Not Athens for sure :D
I have played a few games in which my opponents were "pawn-pushers", for lack of a better way to put it. Now, I say this without contempt, but I think my opponents could make better moves. Sometimes, I have lost some games to people who play this way. Maybe I am a fool, maybe not. It has occurred to me that I need to learn to play against as many set-ups as possible. I might recognize a certain playing style as reckless, but, if I can't exploit it, I might be the one to lose the game.
Nice grammatically correct semicolon.
Blog: Do NOT travel to Greece in July... it's super hot there.....
Meanwhile me in India: Oh, is that so...?!

Nice study! It is always nice to get more advice on pawn structures.
examples 3 and 4 are at the ending board position of the study rather than the beginning position.

I say with full contempt, I have zero respect for boomer chess. It is revolting to play against someone who just tries to manoeuvring around to exchange all the fun pieces, pushing to win with some stupid 3-2 queenside majority, while sitting behind some fortress. Like a little coward turtle. "i'M sTraTegic" the unimaginative bureaucrat hunchbacks laud them while killing all the beauty and panache of the game. It's so provoking, gawd.
Real chess is about punching the other guy in the face with a bunch of sacrifices and blockbuster mating net.
I'd rather resign if my attack wave gets exhausted, than play it out vs the death chess, the killer of life and joy.

Hahaha. A romantic chess player at heart. Relatable. Sign up for the kings gambit and Evan’s gambit arenas! Unfortunately they are not so frequent.
Nice article! I appreciate presenting the idea in small form, then expanding it out to give a sense for how a game might reach the structure.

Nothing against boomers but that's the spirit my man!
