Thank you for posting this. @datasmith and I run G/60 + 30 tournaments here on lichess. We have an Americas section that plays most games Thursday evenings (Americas time) and a European section that plays most games Tuesday evenings (European team). We also host google meet sessions to review ongoing games and do analysis together. Please message me or @datasmith for details if you are interested in learning more.

Thank you, that sounds cool! How many players do you have? Is it a Swiss? If so, how many rounds? How easy is it to schedule games? What do you use for messaging/scheduling? It's probably easier to share all of this here in comments rather than answering each interested person in turn :)
Thank you!

Yes, you found it! But I'll add some specifics for those who are in this blog only. We've done with Swiss tournaments and Quads (4 players of similar rating). A section is usually 10-16 people, but we'd love to have more! Tournaments are typically 6 rounds over 6 weeks. We schedule the pairings each week, and if someone can't play at our "standard" times, they and their opponent can arrange another time - a google sheet is used for the pairings,

@BigData1969 - Thank you, that sounds great, and I like that you have those Google Meet sessions for analysis!
The only problem is that Tuesday clashes with 4NCL (that also has both individual and team online events on Tuesdays)... But this season of 4NCL is going to finish soon anyway (in ~3 weeks time).

It's also worth noting that the ChessDojo runs a classical tournament that is open to everyone, not just paying Dojo members. Games are 90+30 for the open section, 60+30 for U1900. Here's the link to the info page: https://www.chessdojo.club/tournaments/open-classical/info

When I want to play a classical game, I just create a 90+30 and wait. Opponent who blitz out moves aren't a problem, but more like a challenge. Against stalling opponents (which happens very very rarely, if ever for me) you can start another game
