FM Samuel Weber

My name is Samuel Weber. I'm 22 years old and I want to become the best player I can be and enjoy the process.

I played basketball for Eintracht Frankfurt for 6 years.
Why do I like chess? Well, there are new things to discover in every game that you didn't know before and every game takes a different course which for me is what makes the game so appealing.

I have already played over 1000 games. (rated, Classic/Rapid/Blitz Games)
I play a lot of tournaments every year, such as the Xtracon Chess Open in Denmark or the Grenke Open in Karlsruhe.
I also played a season in the 2.Bundesliga, currently I'm active in the Oberliga.

Greatest successes :

Hessen Youth Singles Championship: 1st place in blitz and classical chess 2017, 2nd place 2015, 3rd place 2013.
3rd place Vellmar Open 2017, Hessen team champion with Oberursel 2018, Tatry Open 2018 tied with 2nd place
5th place German Junior Championship 2019, 4th place International Lyon Open 2019, shared 1st place Basel Chess 2022

Almost every student of mine became better in a good period of time.

For example 1 student made 200+ in 1 tournament another 130+, 4/6 against only better players, importantly they hold there level ! also one student recently beat his first IM !

At school I occasionally played simul and gave chess training.

I have a very good positional and structural understanding, I can also teach and convey a lot in the endgame and in tactics.

My approach is that the student always suggests what he feels like doing and what he would like to improve on, otherwise it could become too tough. In training, I will recognize a few weaknesses that we can work and improve on.
In my experience, this creates a pleasant and fun but focused training atmosphere.

I also created my own thinking-method on finding good plans and ideas in most positions, wich i would like to show you in a regular Training.
