I'm Woman Candidate Master, Gertrude Banini. I'm a 25 years old Ghanaian professional chess player. I'm currently the women's national champion for Ghana.

I've been playing chess for almost a decade. I've competed in a lot of local, national and international tournaments including the 2024 World Chess Olympiad in Budapest where I represented my country playing one the highest board{Board 1), and earning the WCM Title. Also participated in the All African Games, African zonal championships, and African Guinness World Record Tournament.

I have over 5 years of teaching experience giving group and personalized individual online and in person lessons to children and adults. I have taught a wide range of students ranging from beginners with zero knowledge on chess to intermediate players. My youngest student is 4 years of age and my oldest student, 41 years old.

I've arbitrated in local and African tournaments.

My goal is to help you improve your game while having fun, build confidence, and achieve your chess goals, whether its winning tournaments, reaching a new rating milestone, or simply enjoying chess at a higher level.
Study areas will be based on individual needs.
