About me
My name is David Maycock, I'm 20 years old and I've been playing chess for over 10 years now! I started when I was young and quickly got absorbed by the game. I went on to represent my home country, Mexico, many times internationally and I gained key experience and knowledge that I'm still grateful to this day. Now I'm living in the UK, playing competitively and coaching.

Teaching experience
I've been teaching chess in primary schools for around 2 years now. My groups often compete in tournaments against another schools, and they perform well!
Other experiences
I'm a filmmaker, and I've created chess content online (YouTube) with the ultimate purpose of getting more people interested in chess.
Best skills
- Play decently during time trouble.
- Find my way in chaotic positions.
- Try to find the right move rather than the one I think will work best against my opponent (cheap tricks).

Teaching methodology
The lesson's would be heavily invested in two things:
- Calculation (Tactics/Pattern-recognition)
- Strategy (Analyzing your games, explaining my thoughts during my own chess games).
