I’m Jemima Paulo, a Woman FIDE Master (WFM) from Angola. I started playing chess in 2016, taught by my father, and since then have developed into a professional chess player with a passion for teaching and growing with others.

Multiple-time Absolute National Champion of Angola (2019, 2022, 2024), with strong international experience including African championships and world-level events. Known for precise calculation, strong endgame skills, and disciplined competitive play. FIDE rating 1970 (Classical), online Blitz ~2200.

I’ve been a chess teacher since 2023. My approach values student independence — I encourage autonomy by showing what to study, where to explore, and how to think critically.

My method is practice-focused, balancing practical games with essential theory. Lessons are tailored to help each student grow with clarity, confidence, and purpose.
